Today it has been reported that the fears of Eduardo’s injury were as serious as many thought at the time. It has been reported that he “could have lost his foot” after the incident and it was due to Gary Lewin’s ‘decisive’ actions that saved him from the worst. The next two weeks will be crucial in his recovery because if he gets some sort of infection it could still be very problematic. However, Lewin has said that if he can make it through the next two weeks his rehab should begin after 6-8 weeks of being on crutches.
We all wish Eduardo a speedy recovery.
