Adebayor’s move to big spending Manchester City now seems to be in the balance with Adebayor apparantly “asking for more time” to decide whether the huge pay packet being offered will be enough to lure him away from the Emirates.
After a reported £25 million fee being agreed, most Arsenal fans would be happy to see him leave the club which bought him for a marginal value of around (reported) £3mil-£7mil. Either way, huge profits similar to Anelka’s transfer to Real Madrid all those years ago comes to mind in any comparison of previous transfer deals away from the club. Wenger would be making a huge amount which we all hope is spent on making the squad stronger in the positions that are needed.
Answer our poll on the right hand side to let us know if you are happy for Adebayor to leave. An analysis on our options up front without Adebayor for next season will be published later in the day.
