That promises to be the best tie so far of the tournament as the matches from the "group of death" start to play out. Legends of the game coming from each nation and two very distinct styles of play come together. Van Persie has been out for majority of Arsenal's season so he could be feeling fresher than most if he gets a chance to start tonight.

Before that, France take on Romania which promises to be a tighter match up than some people may anticipate. The likes of Chivu and Mutu represent a solid Romanian side against the French who have Arsenal ex-captain Patrick Vieira out with an injury. Also, with the likes of Theirry Henry, Lassana Diarra, William Gallas and Nicolas Anelka all in the squad, it truly is a bit of an Arsenal reunion. Add to that list a young man called Samir Nasri who could be on his way to Arsenal this coming season, let us hope he gets a chance to play today but he starts on the bench.
